profile of partner : james crawford (DIRECTOR)
James Crawford was born in Greenock, on Scotland’s west coast, and brought up in a small village in Berwickshire. Moving straight from school
into banking, James progressed throughout his 26 years in banking, developing both his technical and personal skills, and latterly holding a position in operational risk management.
In 2009 James seized an opportunity to take redundancy as a consequence of the banking crisis, and became a professional photographer, turning his long-standing passion and talent into a full-time business. Entirely self-taught, he understands the entire process that leads to the production of a great photograph:“In my photography business, I don’t just need photography skills. I’m passionate about exceeding client’s needs and take lots of time to understand their requirements before any photography takes place.”
James holds memberships of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, its affiliated groups, and is also a member of the Nikon Professional User Group.
Away from photography, James is interested in anything creative: he keeps freshwater and marine aquaria (keeping seahorses among other species!), grows fuchsia for competitive showing - is a member of the British Fuchsia Society - and will soon be a committee member of the South East Scotland Fuchsia Society.
