Elizabeth Whalley gained an honours degree in Business Studies in 1993 and added a masters in Software Development before consolidating her skills as a java software developer in England and Scotland. After living in Spain for three years, and having a son, she returned to Edinburgh to set up Pura Designs.

Elizabeth, seeking to further develop her innate creative talents, began designing web pages in 2007 and set up Pura Designs in 2008. Collectively, her experience in web-based development and design, her knowledge of programming at all levels, along with her thorough understanding of business processes, mean she has a unique perspective on the web and how to use it most effectively.
